Fill me in on Dean Martin.?

Yesterday I a friend told me that a close ociate refers to me as Dean Martin. Was she likely saying I look psychically like him (I don't see too much of a resemblance other than dark hair - sorry, I won't provide a picture of myself either), or is Dean Martin known for acting a certain way or having a unique style of living? I guess essentially I'm asking how Dean Martin acted and what "style" he was known most as being (aside from being 50's). Either way, he must be one cool cat...
