What would you do if you got your period whilst wearing a thong?

and you didn't have a tampon or a pad...i am just curious b/c this happened to me the other day. I was wearing a thong with yellow shorts and of course i came right through onto my shorts before i even noticed it since there was no underwear in the way really. I ended up having to go home b/c i couldn't find anyone who had a tampon and my pants were screwed up anyway (its ok i used Oxy Clean on them), i just wonder what you would have done.
