Help,my head is spinning!!?
OK, my husband and I are property virgins, (love the show!) but we have a contract for a manufactured house in a small town. This house is in a flood zone, making home insurance over a $1000 a year, and lately the news just keeps getting worse. Today we had a phone call saying that we needed to pay an extra $500 for a elevation survey (requirement for the mortgage lender) ok, then we get a phone call from our realtor saying the seller won't pay to get siding patched up cause its to cold outside right now. OK, later we get another phone call from our bank saying that we can't get a loan now because it is a manufactured home? WTF, we have been working our a$$es off trying to get all this paper work done over the last 2 weeks to be able to close in another 2 weeks, and you are just now telling me that we cant get an approved mortgage because its a manufactured home? Am I missing something here? They put us through an RD loan, but we originally wanted a VA loan. What can we do? Our baby is expected to arrive in 5 weeks, we now live in a one bedroom apartment, we have to move to another county (husband is a deputy) and nothing is available to rent! O and other property to buy is kinda out of the question.. small towns, not much to buy.. Is this house worth it? 2.5 bath, 3 bedrooms, fireplace, double garage, all appliances included, outside has beautiful landscaping with underground sprinklers..paying 2 grand under the appraised value.. I love it.. but is it worth the hle? Any good advice please! sometimes you just need to be told the house is worth it. or its not worth it.. move on.. get the drift?
