Has anyone heard of the Gospel of the Nazarenes aka the Gospel of the Holy Twelve?
Has anyone else read this? I came across it, and while textually it was quite similar, there were some very clear differences. For example, instead of God the Father, it was God the Father and Mother, one uni or less being. It also stated that Jesus was a strict vegetarian, and spoke of reincarnation, and essentially what I deduce to be karma (you get back what you put out kinda thing). It seems, to me, to have pieces of all the current religions in it. It is said to have been in a Tibet monastery, and dated around 30 - 40 AD. It also describes the life of Jesus more in depth and included the years from 12-30 that lack a bit of info in the bible. If you want to read it the website is thenazareneway.com, but it is quite long, so don't expect a quick read. Initially, I have to think there must truth to it only because there is no charge to read it, the entire text is right there for free ( I tend to immediately discredit anything that clearly wants money) but this doesn't seem to be like that. Anyway, has anyone heard anything about this "lost" gospel?
