Obama is moving to increase federal taxes on ammunition by 500%?

Ive heard this but have yet to see any facts backing it up. but just in case I did go out and buy 600 rounds the other day. and although I do not particularly like this it IS the most effective way to gain some measure of control over illegal gun use. Most criminals do not get their guns through legal channels so most gun control measures have NO effect on anyone but honest americans but they do get their ammo from the same places the rest of us do so while this wont stop them it will affect them. the problem is that it affects honest citizens more.
