This one SIMPLE way to look at it... if you take other things that were happening along with your ONE fact the picture isn't so clear. For example your number one on the list was during WW2, America was gearing up and m producing FOR THE WAR. When you take Facts in context to paint a real picture instead of using them out of context to support a biased conclusion then you might have a valid point.
