Fallout : New Vegas help?

I'm stuck at a crossroads here. I'm playing on and I have Rex and Cidy as followers. There is this guy in Freeside who wants me to bring Cidy to him so he can kill her, but if he drops her, then I lose the Whiskey Rose perk. Is losing the Whiskey Rose perk going to be a fair trade for a new follower or not?
