Does anyone have a home remedy to cure a bacterial problem with orchids?

One of my favorite cattleya orchids has been losing leaves left and right since it got infected- probably because I overwatered it late in the fall. Leaves turn black and then drop off. I don't know what to do other than apply some topical treatments I found in my plant supplies. I stopped watering almost completely and that has helped some
