Any good more good TV series like Firefly?

Did you ever watch Angel? It was better than Buffy and highly character driven. What about Stargate SG-1. By the end of the series you'll feel like you know and love every character, you might even occasionally shed a tear. It's too bad that you apparently can't watch the new Battlestar Galactica. That is a truly relevant, thought provoking, superbly acted series.
